You've already lied - here and on your application paperwork - by saying you've never lied (except once to your mother recently  ), and likely will be busted when they review your background application for your polygraph (if this hasn't been identified already by a BI). What good will calling them back and saying, "Uh, I didn't mean to put I never lied. I unintentionally misled you."
LAPD has lots of applicants applying for positions, so why do you think they'd spend the extra time with an applicant who can't be honest on a basic question of integrity when they can simply move on to a more honest applicant? It's entirely possible you will be passed over for another candidate - if you haven't been already - so be ready for it. If you apply again, or apply elsewhere, keep in mind that being honest is the only way to get through the process (back-peddling later on and saying "I didn't mean to mislead you" isn't going to help your case).

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
My new hero!
Hmmmm...I'm not a fortune teller but I'm seeing in your future you are going to post a thread regarding you not passing the poly for LAPD. If you stressing over this...stand by. EVERYONE lies. You will on the job...if you don't then you are lying.
