Hey Fellas,

I'm working with a pretty sensitive time-line here. Without boring you with details here's my question.

I recieved a letter noitifying me that I have passed the written exam, they wanted me to come back within a week for more screening, I had to decline because I am on active duty and I was unable for that timeline. I spoke to the recruit processing division they instructed me to call in Feb to schedule follow-on appts during the month of Feb (Quest).


I am in perfect health, very fit with a secret (classified) military clearance so background should not be a problem. After the mini-med, how long should I expect to complete the hiring process or start an academy?

I am assuming you mean for NYPD. If that is the case the Academy is every 6 months so January and July. Regardless of how quickly you process you will not know you've been hired until two or 3 days before the start of the academy.

Yes I was refering to the NYPD. Thanks for the reply. Wow that's really short-notice!

Any advice on how I will survive on 25k a year for 6 months?
