I get sworn in Monday...but

Okay so Monday is my big day I am getting sworn in and it is a very exciting moment in my life I can't believe after all this time trying to become a LEO its finally happening! The only downside is they are not sending me to the academy till late July early August. I got hired with 7 other people and they are sending 4 to the academy at the end of January and the other 4 including myself at the end of July. I guess from one point I like this better because I get more on the job training than the other 4 and more time to get into better shape for the academy. But on the other hand I feel like I am going to be 1/2 a Sheriff's Officer because I didn't go through the training like everyone else did and there will be only so much I can do since I will be unarmed.

MY thoughts exactly......dont turn into a what-if cop. Your hired and plenty of other guys are still waiters and pizza delivery guys.(Nothing wrong with those jobs I did them both.)
