    Finish line in sight.

    Well I had my second polygraph today. Turned out I had a past issue at work from my last job that they had an issue with. The company refused to release documentation on it and a co-worker of mine altered the story to make him come out smelling like roses. I told my side on the poly machine and pass again so.......

    My background was signed off on right after by the administrative LT. then I was given the written psych exam and was told the bosses are meeting this coming week to decide on final hires and if I am selected then the psych and med in the next two weeks. Its so close I can taste it!!!!!!

    Outstanding! I know exactly how you feel. I got a conditional offer about a month and a half ago for a full-time position with an outstanding PD not far from my area, passed all the steps (the last being the poly, which I took this past Monday), and am now waiting to get a final offer (which can't come soon enough! ).

    Good luck on getting past the final hurdles and getting the offer you've worked for.

    Try getting documentation on whatever the incident was yourself. I was once written up by an employer who would not release records to anyone except myself so I was able to request a PDF file of my entire personnel record.

    I tried H.R. but the company is being a bunch of A-holes. Thats why the department thought best just to do a poly specific to that incident. Since I passed there is no issue as to my integrity or version of events.

    Polygraphs? I couldnt even imagine. I got in so much trouble when I was a teen that warning lights on the machine would probably have gone off...lol Well nothing really bad but some funny stories.

    I find it quite interesting that a law enforcement agency would have trouble getting those records with the proper release.
