    Shucks... Still in Final Process

Hey everyone, I've been on the long journey of becoming an Indiana state trooper since june. I'm in the final process and had an in-home final interview in September.

Still have no word yet, Here is my question: Should i call the trooper that interviewed me? He said that he would call me if it was a yes or no. I don't want to seem impatient, I just think about it all the time.

Let me know your opinions please

    God Bless,
    Evan.

Judging from the steps you've gone through, I imagine they're now conducting the background investigation (which I would've thought would have come before the polygraph and oral). Background investigations are very extensive and currently average 3 - 4 months (sometimes less sometimes more depending on various factors). Looks like your in-home was in September, so I'd wait until near the end of January and then a courtesy call just to check in.

The waiting is definitely the worst part of the whole thing.

    Good idea.

    Ok, That's what i'll do.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure If i have put this much time and effort into the whole selection process, if I was rejected they would atleast send me a courtesy letter letting me know my application was rejected. Correct?

Sometimes the letters take forever. They will let you know if they need anything for you. For myself its been about a mont or more at least between steps. I took the test Dec 04, was intervied April 06, Physical Agiliy June 06, Polygraph Sept 06, Background Oct 06 and waiting on psych and med. Good luck to you.
