The Waiting is over!!

Just got final word that I am in! The academy starts in January!

Man, what a long road it has been. Almost a year to the day. I think that the Honolulu Police Department must have one of the most involved processes to go through to get hired. I must say in hindsight though that the hardest part of the process was the waiting.

Anyway, to all the posters who are going through the same or similar hiring processes, best of luck to you and keep your chins up!

congrats on getting in! i'm sure the acadamy is going to be a blast for you. i start the academy on oct. 5th, i just got hired here in washington by the king county sheriff's department. my mother in law works for the kona police department on the big island and if the honolulu p.d. is anything like the kona p.d. you are joining a great agency. keep it up.
