questions about APD-6 ,APD-29 and military forms for NYPD

no they take a picture for you when you meet your investigator.....APD 29 i dont remember what form that is but if it doesnt apply to you dont fill it out....for ex- if your not claiming veterans credits, dont fill that form out. As for the military forms, you dont fill them out if you were not in the military

APD-6, Applicant Pedigree Sheet, you do not have to put a picture. Just fill it out. (TYPED)

APD-29, Applicant Record Check, yes you have to fill that one out. (TYPED as well)

Like lax854 said, you do not have to fill out the military forms if you never been in the military.

I still have not taken a picture. I was told to hold on to my money order from my medical but my investigator never mentioned me having to take the photo.

welll youre going back to your investigator to update your information soon so i would just bring it up to your investigator when you go. Im sure its not a big deal anyways but I would want to make sure everything is in order to get hired! im going to meet with my investigator on tuesday so I am going to ask him once again to make sure everything is in order! good luck!

When I meet him I will definitley make sure that I have fulfilled all of their paperwork requirements. I don't want anything to hold me back.

haha youre telling me! I just went through 30 pages of responses to the phone call for the january 06 and july class for 05. That is going to be the worse weekend of my life just waiting by my phone! hard to believe its less then 2 months away!

I really hope i have everything for this investigator on friday...Someone told me that some forms we dont need to even fill out...Also, I cant freakin belive all this crap we need a utility bill from ur parents, social security earning and a crap load of a lot more BS.. whats ur investigators names?

.....youre going out for a job that gives you a gun which ultimately can lead to you taking another human beings life. To tell you the truth, the stuff they are asking for are not in anyway unreasonable. They ask for the utility bill to prove you live with your parents and that they are supporting you. They ask for SS earnings to make sure you aint cheating the govt which is a felony.

I wouldn't post names on a public forum. You are right though, the paperwork is necessary to perform a thorough investigation on us. We are seeking employment in a career that has a huge amount responsibility in the everyday lives of various people. Providing all the information we can about our history is well worth it to have an opportunity at becoming a police officer.

i am still wondering how much longer i am gonna be on review for this psych...I mean how does that psych work? Do people pass or fail and or go on review..i hope i get into this july class i dont care about the pay

the psych is very tricky and probably the last thing you want to be put on review for. You either pass the psych or usually are put on review. Being put on review is a red flag that something was wrong with either your background or maybe a response you had given. Being on review means you have not failed and you will either be cleared or be DQ'd. That process from what the pysch dept has told my boys who were put on review can take anywhere from weeeks to 1 year. People on this board have been cleared in one week and some have been on review for 6 months. Just sit back and relax is really all that you can do for now.

im sitting back for now but when i see my investigator on friday i want to see if he knows anything. I cant get cleared unless i see another doctor right? I really hope i can make this july class.. I heard they are really hurting for guys right now and would love to get in.. I live across the bridge and the commute will be a ***** but it will be worth it.

i dont believe your investigator will be able to tell you much. From what I remember hearing about this is that your investigator cant contact the pysch dept because they are not allowed to influence the review process. I could be wrong on this one and maybe someone with more knowledge then me could help you out on that one. As for the other doctor, its not that youre crazy, its just something came up that makes you potentially unsuitable for the job. So if you do fail, you can always appeal the decision. But untill you are cleared or DQ's, you just have to wait. goood luck!
