I went to NYC Dept of Taxation, and got a written statement from them that stated that I did not owe any summonses on any of the 3 license plate #'s I provided to them. They don't have a history of tags against a plate # as far as I could find, as long as they're paid. THey only keep records of unpaid fines.

the thing is i dont actually own a car, its under my parents name- i am not sure what to doOriginally Posted by phantasm
I have a similiar situation, my car is registered in my mother's name. I don't see the point of putting it down, as it just goes back to the owner anyway.
A printout is not applicable if you don't have a car registered in your name.
A parking summons (unless you gave ID to the officer), is issued solely to the vehicle, and if the vehicle is not registered to you, don't worry about it. If you've already mentioned something to the BI about receiving a parking ticket with your mother's car, then get her plate # when you received the ticket, and get the above mentioned letter. If she owes any money, pay it.![]()
