Just got a call from the SO

I didn't make this round of hirings. :mad:

I'm on the eligibility list for the next year, but out of the 100 personnel on the list, only 1 or 2 is hired off there. I also wasn't given a reason as to why I didn't make it, only that I hadn't. When I asked her, she didn't have an answer.

Soooo, it's off to another 3 or 4 agencies till one gives me the nod.:D

At least they had the courtesy to give you a phone call... I didn't find out until I called to check on my status, and the HR person was rude to boot! :mad: Just gotta keep on keepin' on... Good luck!

Well with only a 2% chance of getting hired out of ELIGIBILE CANDIDATES, it seems like a very competitive department. Good luck.

Most of the departments around here usually hire about 10% of total candidates who start the process. The other 90% fail at some aspect, but once you complete everything, you usually do get hired.

I filled out apps, took tests , did interviews for nearly 2 years before I got hired and than I got TWO offers on one day. Be patient and keep trying.

Trust that you are exactly where you need to be, and all will fall into place when the time is right. ;)

I just got called back with a CO for Courtroom Deputy!:D

Granted, I wanted to be on the road, but I will glady take this position to get my foot in the door.
