    Changing my name cuz I'm in!!!!

    I just got word today that on July 10th, I am to report for my first day as a DST at the Academy of Los Angeles County Sheriff Department …words can't describe how this feels!!!!! Thank you all for your ongoing support:D

    First two days are mellow - taking care of paperwork and logistics/equipment. It's Game On on Monday. When things get crazy or stressful, just remember how much you want it. Stay focused and budget your time well. Good luck!

    Thank you so much everyone for the kind words today and the support given over the last year...your understanding and care truly make this website a great benefit...right now I feel as I did seven years ago, with the approaching due date of my daughter's birth, I am beyond happy and excited, but nervous and anxious as well...

    when they called, in a state of shock I said "yes," of course, then I called them back about an 1/2 hour later and said "yes" again, just to make sure it wasn't a mistake!

    To all those processing now, stay with it...it took me about 3+ years...some more some less, but all I have met feel it's beyond worth it!!!

    For those already in uniform (and their love ones), you have and always will have my undying respect and gratitude for all that you do...best wishes
