    Cujo,
Just wanted to jump in and give my input on the subject. I have some what of the same problem with coming out of the military with a not so great record from the past. My advice would be look into allot of diffrent areas if that is a option for you. Some areas seem to be a lot more responsive to military service. Second, if what you really want to do is Law Enforcemnt take a position if it is offered and get your foot in the door. Even if it is not where you want to stay forever, it will be allot easier to move around if you have the experiance. Finally, keep going to school. That always looks good in the real world. Just my opinion, take it for what it is worth. Good luck with the transition from military to civilian, it has been a hard one so far for me....
