When i was 17 I made two choices in my life which i believe are the only things which could be keeping me from my dream of being an LEO. First my girlfriend of a year and I took nude pictures of each other which i promptly deleted. Secondly, I gave my brother 20 dollars to purchase a game for me from one of his friends which was stolen. I felt so guilty after getting the game i threw it away. I know it doesn't make much of a difference because the past is unchangable but I did learn an extremely valuable lesson from both of these mistakes. I have changed the way i think about ethics and think MUCH more about the ethics involved in my actions. So how bad will these things hurt me when trying to get hired? Automatic DQ?

1) Depends on the agency. Some will dismiss you for other qualified applicants without these background issues, others may not.

2) No one here can tell you with any certainty what the hiring department will decide.

3) Your best best is to apply (you can't get a job you don't apply for), be completely upfront and honest, and stay positive.
