After many a night of reading articles on here about education being a fundemental part of the hiring process.....I decided to go to college and get a degree. The degree I am going to pursue is going to be in Sociology, I like this in the fact that I can specialize in various different things but also it may help me in dealing with how people think out on the street. I just want to thank all the members of this site that have recommended going to school to others, some newbies still read the archives. I am only 25 and should be done hopefully in a year and a half so I will be in my prime for this job (both mentally and physically) I believe. I will do my best to get awesome grades and am going to really start to get involved in the community with volunteering and the such. Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone here, you all helped me in more ways than you know. :D

Hey Doogie. That is awesome news. Sociology is a great field to get into. After I finish my degree in Criminal Justice, I am also going to study Sociology. :cool: We're glad to have you here on the site with us

When I first posted here I made a stupid and insensitive joke that irked a few regulars on here and when I said I only meant it as a joke and kind of like a feeble attempt as an ice breaker, those members told me it was not cool. So I apologized but the damage was already done. I never meant any harm I was just trying to joke around but now that I see some of the people that just pop up on here, I totally understand where they are coming from and I respect what they did.
