Just got through CHP oral board

God I feel like I could've done so much better. At least I had the opportunity to put some things down on my apps/citation history that I forgot the first time through those papers, and had the opportunity to take the oral board, but I can't help to think that I could've done better.

At least the interviewers were nice, and really easy to get along with. I was nervous up to the door, but then the state rep totally broke the ice for me and made me feel comfortable. I keep thinking though that I could've/should've said this and that, and it's totally killing me. Especially stuff during the situational questions, and some other things in "Why do I want to be a CHP officer?" and "What traits and qualities do I have that would suit me to be an officer?"

I just hope I did well in the long run, and that my BI will go along smoothly if I make it that far.

Cool! I went through the CHP process back in 2001-02... I got a 105 on my oral with my veterans pref points. I too lived in the bay area and did most of my testing at Vallejo. The background was pretty easy as was the voice stress analyzer. I got an ivetation to the academy, but declined to move home (PA).

Good luck, the CHP is a top notch organization in my opinion.

Congrats! Good luck with the rest of your process.
