Good lord it's been a LONG time since I logged on here. I took my area's (Jefferson County Alabama) civil service exam and got a call from the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office. So far I have passed my physical agility test, went for the interview, polygraph, and psychological tests. The only thing I have left is a physical tomorrow. I don't know why, but I am more nervous about it than I have been about anything else. I guess it is because I am getting down to the final stages and I am getting anxious about starting a new job.
Just a little background on me, I have been in law enforcement for nearly 7 years, working for a small department as a dispatcher/corrections officer. I have been lucky enough to work around a seasoned group of officers, so, even though I am still young, I sort of have that "old head" mentality. This will be my first job as a sworn officer, if I get it, but I have been a reserve officer for the past 3 or 4 years.
Say a little prayer for me and I will let you guys know how things turn out.
