    Sacramento Police Department

    Hello everyone,

I am new to this board, and I have applied to a couple of different agencies around the San Francisco area. Those include the Alameda County Sherriff's Department, Sacramento County Sherriff's Department, CHP, and Sacramento Police Department.

I have passed the written exam with CHP and therefore I used that same score for the Sacramento PD's exam as well. I passed the Physical Ability Test with Sacramento PD and have my oral interview next monday (2/27).

Im just curious if anyone else on here is going through the process with Sacramento PD.

    Thanks for all the info.

    Robert

I tested with Sac County SO for a trainee position...Ranked 2 and passed physical...havent heard anything back yet.

I would have applied to SacPD but they require 60 units of college...and I am just shy of that.

I will be eventually....not what you wanted to hear, I know.

Since you are in the SacPD process, have you heard how long it takes on average? I know a lot depends upon the background and how complicated it is.
"Cheshire Puss," she began, rather timidly... "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where..." said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

I haven't heard anything on how long the process is, I wish I had more info. I have my oral interview next monday. If I get passed that, I will only have the background investigation to do. I wish I could tell you more but I am also a beginner when it comes to this.

I applied to SFPD, CHP, and BART Police.

I just got through PAT's for SFPD, and CHP. CHP is chuggin along with their process. I took my written test in January, and so far this month, I've done the PAT, Psych, and today is my QAP (oral board).

I am hoping to apply in April so that the testing dates will not conflict with classes. I am also new to this site and would love to keep in touch with you about your progress.

Will they still be hiring then? No matter what though, there's an influx in PD's and SO's hiring. I'm physically and mentally tired from all three agency's tests and what not, but I'm making progress in all of them.

Uprock - I had my Oral Interview yesterday with CHP at the Best Western in Benicia. How long before they get back to us? Also, I might have spoke with you at the PAT. Not sure though, but I spoke with someone that said they use this site

Yup, that was probably me. I think we were in the second to last group for the 500. The QAP wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I saw a few guys there that I met at the PAT's that weekend too.

I think they said they'll get back to us by mail in about two weeks after the QAP's. Then they'll set us up with our BI's, and we have to get all that paper work they need turned in. That's going to be a doozy.
