"They WILL find out during the BI"......

I will probably be scolded by making this post but here goes anyway. Time and time again you see on this forum "They WILL find out in your BI" and under no circumstances do I condone or suggest lying, but lets be real people there is no way that even a verified LEO from lets say FL is going to know how good of a BI a department does in NJ to be able to make that statement. I know of a sheriffs department that runs a DL check and a criminal check. Thats it, thats the BI. Lets be real, more importantly if you snorted a line of coke one time alllllllll by your self there is no way in hell someone is going to figure that out in a BI for an agency that does not POLY. Thats just common sense. Not all departments try to figure out what color your cat was in second grade, This forum sometimes makes it seem like you have to be a saint to get a LEO job, as for some federal depts this may be true, however there are hundreds of thousands of local police officers and I'd be willing to say the majority have done things in their past their agencies would not condone. But the phrase so commonly seen "They WILL find it" couldnt be more misleading, BI Investigators are not psychics.

Im not suggesting any approach, im just blatenly stating the obvious that there are some things that you and ONLY you know that cant and wont be found out.
