I was just wondering when should I start applying to departments? I graduate from the academy towards the end of September, and I've heard you should start applying somewhere around 6 months before you get out? Just wondering, thanks for any help.

I guess that depends on the length of your academy and the hiring requirements of the places you're interested in. If you would elaborate there are plenty of texas and San Antonio officers on here that could help you.

No Prob. I've been going since Sept. of last year, so i guess its about a year long. I'm thinking about applying to a suburb of SA, maybe like New Braunfuls, Schertz, Seguin etc.. But I'm not too sure...
