You should join the Coast Guard! You can do LE and still have a criminal record, be under 21 years old, be overweight, and only have to attend a small amount of training. Not only that, but the training is a joke! Come on over!

I'm pretty sure I know a thing or two about Coast Guard LE, considering i've been in for quite awhile. Zander_eye, if you think our Sea Marshall's program has our best and brightest your an idiot. Go to the Coast Guard message boards and see what my fellow Coasties think about the program! It's no secret that our training is sub-par and we have hillbillies carrying weapons

luckily the polygraph was at District 7 HQ in Fairfax, actually right next to GMU where I go to school. The next step I believe will be a background check which I should hurdle without a problem.

I just go my conditional also. But, like Mike I have to wait for all the fun stuff: polygraph, psychological and medical testing.

I won't consider myself in until I get past the poly. Not that I am a liar. I will tell all, however I still feel guilty about things I did as a kid and I don't know if that will trigger a "not good" reading.

I know everything else is a piece of cake. After the poly I will say I am in!
