Background Interview

Hi,

I have been informed that I made it onto the eligibility list. The next step is the background interview. I have been give the background packet to fill out, and I was wondering when I should expect to be called for the background interview.

Are they going to start the background check first and then call me for the background interview, or do the interview first and then start the background check? I'm just curious as to when they will need that packet.

It all depends on your department. Call and ask.

Usually, you have to call and make the appointment yourself. They should have given you a date with the packet, but if they didn't (like in my case), just call and schedule an appointment.
