A summons is also considered an arrest. "Summons in lieu of arrest".

Why would you plea no contest to a case when you thought there was no enough evidence to convict. You handed them a win on the spot. If you genuinely believed you were innocent and there was no evidence, why not plea to that effect and let the court decide???

You plead no contest " equal to a guilty plea in my state" to a CRIMINAL CHARGE. The charge ( also known as an arrest) was for lying to the police. This can and probably will have a significant impact upon your desire to be a police officer regardless of the fact that you were a juvenile.

Every time I write a traffic ticket for speeding etc, it is considered an arrest. It doens't mean that I handcuffed them or thook their picture but it was an arrest.

BI's do not like to see a criminal history on someone expecially one that invloves lying to the POLICE.

You may be able to overcome this but it will take time and perserverence.

Maybe the Judge that he plead to wasn't wearing his hat, so, it doesn't count.

I'm pretty sure that would DQ you from Military Police...

I was DQ'd from MP the first time around because I was not able to obtain the Security Clearence required... All because I had unpaid parking tickets

Pleading "no contest" was a big mistake. I know you were 15 and unaware of the legal system. Obviously, if you did not plead no contest you would have been prosecuted. If the evidence was unclear and you knew for a fact that you did not email that bomb threat you should have pleaded not guilty.

Regardless of how old you were, LE has the ability to view any records on any infractions, misdemeanors or felonies. That’s a sure thing.

Your process will not be an easy one. This incident will raise a red flag. However, I don't believe in giving up. Be straight forward with everyone and don't try to hide it. Just be honest and you will get an honest answer.

What I want to know is why would someone hack into your computer to email a bomb threat to a high school in the first place? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I can see stealing financial information or something, but a bomb threat? Come on.
