What! That's an all time record, did you do expedited process? Because they usually take more than a month just to tell you if you passed a certain step before scheduling you for the next one.

If this is true, YOU are VERY lucky. You should play the lotto.

Everything went pretty quick, although not expedited... On the day I did the Oral interview, they sent me over to meet with someone in Room 150. At that time, I was giving a list of all the dates for the remainder of my tests.. All my tests were approx. a week apart.

To make sure everything went smoothly, I personally called everyone that was on my reference list, and asked them to call me when they received a letter from my BI. When they called I stressed to them how important it was for them to fill out the BI questionaire ASAP, and to send them back... Luckily everyone had them back within a week. In my own defense, I did not tell anyone what to put down on the paperwork.. Since I picked who I would write down as a reference, I figured everyone would give me the thumbs up (who would put down a bad reference?)

Next... When my BI called, I made it clear that she could call me any time, if she needed additional info... and that I could hand deliver any paperwork at any time on the drop of a hat. I was a full time employee at an engineering firm at the time, and luckily I hours enough vacation hours available...

It took on average of 1 week to get results for my tests, but that was 6 months ago... things have definitely changed, since the classes are so much smaller now...

Its nice to know there is actually light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that this quicker simpler thing is a new trend for LAPD....

I have noticed the process speeding up since last time.. to an extent. When I took the PQE in Nov., it took over a month to get the results. I kept calling Personal, and they said they couldn't send the results til they could give you a background appt, which were backed up because of the holidays. I took my background in Jan., exactly a week later they called me for the Interview. A week later I got the "conditional offer" letter in the mail, and now I have my last 2 tests (pat/ med) this sun/mon. I still have to have a meeting with the B.I., but the process is moving much faster then last time. Btw, my family and references all got the letters last week. Everyone called me to say they received them and put in a good word
