Rather than say "and we'd be even", say something along the lines of "to settle his debt" - sounds more official.

Well...........other than being long I don't see any immediate concerns. I would try to shorten it up a bit, lessen the chain of events slightly.

Well, the reason they even caught this was timing. Evidently people from a couple of the northern stores had been stealing sh t for years, and they caught them, I mean cash and goods. Well after that happened they started monitoring transactions and inventory, well it just so happened that they saw this one. After I explained it to my boss, he knew I was not trying to steal, rather I was a dumbass and forgot to either void the invoice, or get the axle.

He would not have fired me, but the order came from the warehouse brass to let me go. He felt bad, and referred me to where I work now at a welding supplier. He wouldnt refer me to them if I was stealing ****, one would think anyway.

It just really pisses me off that it had to happen. I admit that I f'ed up...but I just hate to stain everything positive I have going right now...

Oh trust me, I do. There is no other explanation...I just plain screwed up. I wasn't thinking. My short term memory is about as good as a goldfish. I'm probably getting overly worried about it, which is why I ramble alot.

I guess my main concern is that I don't get tossed out for this, and they don't complete the background to see all the positive things they will find. I don't want this to distract other things...know wut I meen!

You explained the situation and explained that this isn't the norm from you. I don't see how this will be all that bad for you. Remember, never cover anything up. Honesty is integrity.

Ok. I'll have to shorten it up a bit, make it sound less wishy washy. Trust me, I've found out from other peoples mistakes that honesty and integrity will get you a LONG way. I've heard of people getting fired just from lying about petty things like dinging up a squad and trying to cover it up.

I don't need to take that road...no way.
