    Update on my LAPD process

    i just got off the phone with a manager over at Personnel Department. He stated to me that on Dec 22, 2005 my whole background packet has been forwarded to a panel which consist of Managers from LAPD and Managers from Personnel. Both meet once a week and review candidates packages who have had issues before and who have been in the process for a long time. im one of them
    These managers will determine if i have a shot to move into completing my oral psych, certification, and appointment to a academy. im scared and very nervous. has anyone gone through this? ill be receiving something in the mail very shortly about the decision.

    The only real issue i had was my credit, and not finishing college. but i know that my credit issues plays a big part. however, i showed my BI that everything is squared away, and he knows about it. if my BI was concered about it, he would have dq'd me. so cross my fingers and wish for the better. ;)

    got a call from personnel and they scheduled me for a panel review? anyone gone through this new stage? consist of 3 members of lapd and 1 public safety personnel. pretty nervous.:eek:

    Yesterday i did a ride along with the Rampart community police department. the day was pretty slow. However, alot of ADW calls.
