    Questions ?

OK I have a fews question for you about the hiring process. what is the best color suit, tie and shirt to wear? i have read a some police books that talk about creating a resume do i really need to do this? the books also say when you do your background you should send copies of any awards, certificates and degrees you have. is this true? my background is pretty much clean except for the fact that I had some alcohol when I was under age will this be a problem?

Resumes and copies of letters of rec and awards are always a good idea.

For a suit wear a conservative one. Gray or Navy Blue is best. Wear a white shirt and either a solid colored tie or one with a very mild pattern. No cartoons or other silly stuff on the tie.

Shine your shoes, have a fresh haircut.

So you spent money to get "police books" that tell you helpful tips about LE hiring, and then do not believe what they tell you? The advice you were given sounds good, but why pay the money for the advice and then question if it's legit (unless you just get a kick out of blindly spending money)?

The advice txinvestigator1 gave will have you looking appropriate for an LE interview.
