Underage and in the hiring process....

I am in the hiring process for an internship at my local PD. However they are treating it the same as a real police officer (oral board, background packet, background interview, polygraph, chief interview). Next is my background interview, tomorrow morning. I am 19 years old. I can safely say I lived in high school, was very social, at a lot of parties, did some underage drinking. Never made it an issue but it was a social thing, now that I'm in college it doesn't happen anymore since I basically study, go to class, and spend the majority of my time with my girlfriend. Anyway, since I already drank as a minor, am I going to get dropped tomorrow morning?

If I had a penny for all the underage drinking done in college by CJ Majors, including myself, even though I wasn't as bad as some, I don't think anyone would be able to be hired by any LE agency. I think 90% of people underage do it, it just depends on how you control it. Don't get crazy and steal street signs on the walk home from the bar, don't get caught with a fake ID, don't urinate in public, stupid things. Things like this has happened to everyone I know. When I was underage drinking, I would go to a bar have two or three beers slowly, chill for an hour then leave. When I was home I would have three or four friends over and drink in my house, not go anywhere. A friend of a friend around where I live was at a party drinking, left in his car and hit an off duty cop and didn't even realize he bumped him, now that is bad, obviously had to much to drink if he didn't realize he hit somebody. Okay I'm mumbling and going off the subject.

Let me add my 2 cents CDN here, I have never done any underage drinking or above age drinking. I also think that there are a lot of people who have not.

I wouldn't worry about... I just turned 21 and I have never drank legally... in the USA anyways since I live right next to the Canadian Border. From the age of 16 to 18 I drank probably about 8 times heavily about 12 beers or more and I got accepted into the New York State Police. Although the rest of my background is completely clean.
