Will this show up on a BI

About 4 years ago I applied to the local sheriffs office and was denied due to my recent drug usage. The last few weeks I have been contemplating to re-apply or join the military. Well just yesterday I decided to join the military except I dont feel comfortable with how I joined. When the recruiter asked me about what drugs I have done and how many times I was honest and he disqualified me, but built my dream back up and said I will ask you the same questions again and now you know the answers to them because the only way the military will know is if you tell them. Well stupidly enough I lied and signed the paperwork. I am now feeling regret, because im not the type of person to lie. But just out of curiosity would my DQ'd application for the sheriff's office show up on a BI? My recruiter assured me I had nothing to worry about, but I dont believe him.
I was told that they looked at it and threw it right away, I didnt even make it to the next phase. I know past employers show up on a BI, but I didnt know if the application for the sheriffs would because I was never employed by them. Please any help would be appreciated.

Sorry kid, you're screwed. A recruiter's job is to get people to enlist, not to set you up with your dream career. You fell for the trap and now you have to live with it. I don't say this to be ugly or make you feel bad, but whether you see yourself as a liar or not, you lied, period. You lied in a BIG way, and now that you have a DQ from a previous LE agency for drugs, you can kiss away any hopes of becoming a LEO. The BIs will check with your previous application with the sheriff's office and see that you were DQ'ed (strike one), will see that you were DQ'ed for drug usage (strike two), and will then see that you lied to get into the military by denying your past trangressions (strike three). Hate to be the barer of bad news, but you set yourself up for this. If you felt the recruiter was BS'ing you, then you should have trusted your gut and not signed in under dishonest circumstances. Do your best in your position in the military, maybe even make a career out of it, but don't look to LE as you've struck the final nail in the coffin. Best of luck in the military.

First off, DC I owe you major rep.

Secondly, the above post is exactly right. Yes your prior DQ will show up. THey usually ask for any other departments you've applied at and if they don't ask, they'll find out. BI's can also do the math. They will track your DQ from the department to not putting it on the military application.

Unless your joining and need to have a Top Secret Clearance you don't have to worry, they generally take your word for it, it cost the military lot's of money to do a background check.
