I have my orientation meeting this evening for the Auxilliary program. Wish me luck and say lots of prayers that I am accepted (12,542 to be exact ;) )!
If accepted, I will start the academy in May. One step closer to the prize!

Just got home. The meeting was just a basic overview of the Auxilliary program including the hiring process, training, FTO assignment, and duty requirements. The cool thing about the particular area I'm applying is that the Reserve officers are sworn and certified. No difference at all other than that little thing called money lol. Luckily to I don't have to go thru the steps in the process that I've already completed. That will be nice!
I may also have the opportunity to laterally transfer into a paid position. A friend of mine did this. He went to AUX academy then applied for a full time position and was switched to fulltime, and paid academy.
So now it's back to waiting. I won't know anything until probably March . I've come this far so waiting is getting easier (I think?) lol.
