There may be a couple on here. I am good friends with our BI. With smaller departments (like mine), usually the detective or one of the regular LEO's does the BI work. Most of the LEO's here have can give a pretty good educated guess on what will look good, bad, or reported by a BI (if that's what you're worried about).

So, let me get this straight. You want to have someone, whom you are able to confirm nothing about their identity, look over very personal information that is contained in a BI? I think that is a VERY bad idea.

I've done many BIs. Another tidbit of info: you would not have a copy of my BI report unless you went through FOIA. The forms you submit are only the start. The investigations I conducted used the submitted forms as a springboard to the investigation... they were not the investigation, themselves.

Any report of that type is priviledged.

I'm with Switch on this one. Why do you need a BI to "take a look" at a report?

Nevermind. I guess I did not explain myself correctly. The report does not come from a B. investigator, it comes from Detective Doe.
At any rate, it seems to be to complicated here, so I have decided to take it to school to have it interpreted by an attorney.
Also, the report cannot be so privileged since Monroe County gave to me. All I had to do was show an Id, and bang, the report was handed over along with an array of names under investigation.
Now, if Monroe violated someone's rights by disclosing their names on the report, then thats on Monroe's. All I know is that the report is now in my possession. Thanks for the help though.
