    nypd physical ability

HI. this is for anyone that has taken the NYPD physical ability test. I know what it involves already, but i'm taking it in a week and wanted to know if anyone found it difficult/easy or if they had any tips. thank you for your time.

Has anyone else from 3047 got a date for the physical agility test yet ?
I went to see my investigator on thursday and I have some paperwork that I have to send when I get it (before oct 21) but I didnt get any date for the next appointment.

it's not hard at all. I'll tell you this much, you're adrenaline will have you soo worked up that it will wear you out by the time you reach the stairs. It's easy, but don't go nuts! I advise you not to jump over the 6foot fence like I did as you will feel it pounding on your legs with the extra 15 pounds on your waist and chest (gun belt and bvest). Take it easy and you'll be fine. By the way I saw many of the upcoming class already waiting to take this test as they watched us work out in pt classes. You'll be fine. Good luck!

Is it absolutely necessary to jump over the 6 foot fence? I saw the YouTube Video and I can do everything else, I'm just going to have trouble with that. If I have to do it, can anyone give me some advice on how to do it? Thanks.

Please don't revive 9 year-old threads that are 7 years dormant. If a topic is that long dead, just start a new thread. Thanks!

    When this thread was submitted:

The DC Snipers had just been arrested,
We had just celebrated the first anniversary of 9/11,
Elizabeth Smart had not been rescued yet,
The Enron scandal was still headline news,
and The Euro had just been introduced.

I think it's safe to say that it's time for this thread to join everything else from 2002...
