Hi, everyone. I have been reading and have learned a great deal from all of you. Here is my question, I just pass my oral and scored an 85.21. Will this score get me to the next phase, which is Backgrounds? Thank you for any replies.

Impossible to know... Depends on how many Officers they are hiring, how many people took the test, how many people scored above you, etc. etc.

That's a pretty good score. How many applicants vs how many open positions is probably the factor you need to know. Also, if you're a white male that score might not be good enough if your dept uses Affirmative Discrimination in hiring.

There are about 300 that went to the oral and they are taking the first best 150 scores to do the Background. Then they will take the top 50 for the academy.

I don't know what i got on the oral but i got a letter saying I have passed everything up to now and my score was a 77. I had two orals one in english one in spanish. Did you receive that same letter?
