Don't call 'em rumors... call 'em inquiries.

I've learned over the years, that perpetuating rumors in LE, good or bad, are in fact bad.

One can only be so Open Minded before all that mind **** spills out, stains and ruins everything.

Hey, it's better than it used to be. At least now most people are including "nypd" in the thread title.

    Okay,
Hope nobody takes anything as a personal attack here. I am just speaking broadly and in general terms. Nobody should cry or complain. This is not personal nor directed at any one person. Why did we start a new NYPD thread? There are currently other threads open on NYPD. It couldn't fit in any of those?

And why do you care about rumors anyways? Every recruit is at Ft. Pencil to learn. Graduation will be between December 30 and January 7th. A good officer reads the newspapers to keep current on news events. There was a huge article on why the dates are open in yesterdays Daily News on it, which was posted in Headlines. You will get what training you get when you get it. Just like you will get your equipment when you get it.

Don't be so eager to get those vests. Once you get it, you have to wear it. And those recruit uniforms were not bought with the proper size in mind for that, thus uncomfortable. As for gun&shield day, it usually is one of your last 3 days you are "on" before graduation. Picture day for the last 6 classes is the same as gun & shield. Helmet? Another thing you will have to carry around and you will not be wearing soon. Since you will not have a locker at a command for a while, it will clutter your car. Again, no rush to get it. Test sdates also should not matter. You should have no life right now and be walking books of knowledge and shoudl be ready for any test on any material you were taught at any time. In the field you do not study for your daily tour, you are expected to know it all the time.

Bottom line is you people have all spent 3 months there. I can't believe anyone is still entertaining any rumors. Yous should know how it goes by know.

And to the new people to RP.....keep the NYPD posts in the CURRENT NYPD THREADS! This is a big issue with teh memebers here that we have 10 NYPD threads running, all with teh same thing being asked over and over. Plus, it is a lit easier for those of us to respond to read 1 or 2 threads, rather than 10, all with the same stuff.

Trust me folks...there are 2 NYPD threads going now with over 100 posts. Forget the topic line on them and post ALL NYPD stuff there. It will keep the peace with the others on here who are not NYPD!

No need for any replies here..... PM me, post it in teh other spoken threads...and close this one!
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.

Hey us marine...dont call me a peasant you dunce...just for that little remark your out of the car pool ...

first of all....i think the other NYPD threads are about applicant processing and not recruit matters

second. im sure you would agree that this is a completely different subject...think about it ...we dont like reading about psych. tests and 1000% sure they are getting more from this thread than any...they get a first hand look at the inner workings of The department...

    anyone agree?

um....show me that in the Constitution. I don't think you'll find it.

Why? This is a private forum.

Alamarie, Thanks for the info. We as recruits hope that the city and the people in charge of Madison Square Garden resolve the problems they have together so that we and the New Yorkers don't have to be the one to be penalized. Knowing that because the city could not have Madison Square Garden for that specific time we have to wait one more week is tough. Yes, we waited almost six months, why not a week or so more, would someone say? Well, for every day you are a recruit, that's another possible day for return call, for "make way, recruit", for finding lockers in the gym!!! In addition, that's another week of holding nearly 1600 officers in the academy building in a time of hightened terrorism alert where we needed ou there. Lastly, the more the future class get's to know we are really on our way out of the academy, the more confident they get to be as their time is coming up.

Oh puleeze. This country will never again NOT be at a "time of hightened terrorism alert".

I swore I would never give another smart *** reply in a NYPD thread but dude, get over yourself.
