    Any CHP rookies or future cadets???

    Hey just wondering if there are any CHP folk that would like to help me out in this LOOONG hiring process that is going on. I just passed my written exam, been on a ride-a-long too it was awsome. My QAP (big interview) is on Nov 11th and im pretty nervouse because I want things to go well. Anyone been through this before???? I kinda wanna know what to expect.

    Or if anyone is CHP right now I would love to just chat about things. Thanks!

    congratulations on passing the written i to passed and am scheduled for the oral on the 11th, how did you set up your ride a long? id really like to go on one of those

    Well I did it quite some time ago back in august. I actually just saw a CHP in the mall and started talking to him, and he ended up being a public issues officer ( they go out and try to spread good words about CHP and help out in the community) he ended up giving me his card and I contacted him later that week and he let me talk to the Sgt. and thats how it happend. Its really awsome to be on the other end ya know? lol. I highly recommend trying to get a ride a long. Where did you take your test at??? I took it at the orange dome in san bernardino.

    Did you take the test on the 25th of September? That's when I took mine and I thought everyone else did as well. I still haven't received my test scores. I'm starting to get worried. Where did you take your test?

    i myself took my test on the 25th of Sep. and just recieved my results last fri. which was the 22nd hopefully yours should get there soon

    i took mine onthe 25th of sept. I got my results via phone from my recruiter. I took my test at the Orange dome in San Bernardino...

    Man I hope my QAP goes well. Im not sure if im gunna be a great shoe in cause I have'nt graduated college yet. I still have a year left. Plus no military background. Hope my chances are good. Plus I was reading on some other sites that there only taking like 2 batches of cadets. Each batch has about 90 cadets. Thats 180 people out of the 30,000 that applied this year. THATS CRAZY.... Plus I think there was a huge waiting list for all the people that got recruited during the hiriring freeze. Anyway hope this goes well....

    For those of you who have gone on a ride along with the CHP, what was the ride along like? Where did you go? What kind of things did you do? Did anything interesting happen? I have to wait 'til I get the letter stating that I passed the written test before I can go on a ride along. So for now I have to live vicariously through the ones who have.

    I have my interview on Nov. 4th in San Luis Obispo and am doing a ride-a-long tomarrow night.

    Ride along was really fun... Im really nervouse about the QAP. Im not sure im qualified as great as others might be but who knows. Hope I make the cut.

    pheww!! I just received my letter stating that I passed the written test. I was getting worried there. I have my QAP on December 2. Wish me luck as I will be doing for those of you who are on the same boat.

    Besides driving 2.5 hours in the pouring rain down there from Santa Cruz, it went good I think. I was really glad when it was over! How about you?

    not yet. from what i remember, the interviewers had admonished that results were going to be mailed 3 weeks after the interview date.
