Might help if you do that and put some time in between... you need to show you can function effectively without the meds...

Your trouble in my view is the history of dependency on these meds. Your goal is to get off the meds and stay off them for an extended period of time. If it were me, I would speak with my doctor and ask him why I'm on any meds at all. Medication is something that people take to combat an illness or condition. The question is: Can your condition be overcome without meds? If so, I think you have a shot...if not...it doesn't look good for an LEO career. There has to be a cause for your condition and THAT needs to be discovered so it can be combated. Good Luck.

Well the only dependancy was when I was very young, again 12-14 or so. Recently was only for obsessive compulsiveness, which does not affect my performance (it just makes me a perfectionist with everything).

If I quit taking Zoloft now, and wait like a year... what do you guys think about that?

Not trying to flame here...but it's starting to look like you'll keep asking until you get the "You'll be fine, Don't worry about it." answer. I can't give that. When healthy, the body works like a well oiled machine...no need for prescribed chemicals. If you're taking them, well then, something isn't right. It's probably fixable...but you've gotta get it fixed first. Focus on that. Again...Good Luck.

    Medications

I would also agree that any medications that are prescribed for behavorial resons would generally disqualify some one from wroking in the LE field.
