Can Yall Please Help Me Understand

    Hello hope all is well

Thanks everyone for your advice concerning the psych test. However I do have some other questions about the test. How much does this test weigh in the decision making process, or is it up to the doctor to determine if you are qualified for the job? Is the pass or fail based on the test questions because many of them said that there were no right or wrong answers, except for a small portion on the test. Can someone please help me understand this final stage in the testing process alittle better. Also does the department have the final say even if the doctor, has reservations about hiring you. Also someone please explain to me something. My interview was very basic and did not last very long. There were just general questions, could this mean something?

    Thanks I need some advice

As is stated pretty much everytime someone asks similar questions, it just depends on your agency.

My psych doctor had reservations about me as well, because I told him I haven't ever really had a job I liked. I absolutely LOVE this job though, so there is really no issue. The only reason I mentioned this is because my BI and Commander made mention of it to me, but said they wanted to hire me anyway because the rest of my packet looked fine.

To make a long story short, usually small things won't DQ you, it just depends on how much your individual agency values that portion of your hiring process.

Be careful with these,,,some are stress related,,,they will try and piss you off and not accept any answer. Stay professional and if they refuse an answer politely restate the answer. Dont change it to make them happy. Mine asked me what was the worst thing that happened to me in my life. I said losing my parents when i was in high school. He said,,,other then that. (hahah) I said there is no other then that. That was the worst thing that has happened to me.

The cumulative tests, meaning all tests combined and the interview by the doctor, and his subsequent evaluation, is pass/fail.

A department would never override a doctor's decision. This would be a gigantic liability.
