If you are already in process, and have gone through candidates processing weekend, poly, BI, etc. then the next step is the big thorough medical. No news yet.

If you took the test in March, but have not been called yet, then candidates processing will be the first thing, and there is a mini-medical there.

I sent and email off to Troop F. with some questions..I'll post when I get something back from them.Sent it the beginning of the week..Will send again this weekend if I dont get a response. My BI is not given any info by albany but suggested I call them and ask.

Just spoke to Recuriter for NYSP. Was told that they Currently have reached number 2000 on the list. The medicals are probably going to occur in early January and the next class is scheduled for early February. They have not yet sents out letters for
the medical processing.

I talked to a trooper a few months ago in Middletown NY and he said that Troop F is one that is in demand. Anyone that has driven on route 17 up in the Middletown area knows that they pull alot of people over from the thruway up past Middletown. I won't dare drive one mile over the limit on rt 17.

Just met with the SR.Investigator..Everything is good..also was told that they RETEST the physcial on the last Medical prior to the Class(February)...so you will have to do the SITUPS,PUSHUPS and 1 1/2 run again...Make sure you are ready!!!

that is correct you will have to redo your pushups and situps. Troop F an K usually get a majority of the recruits each class. Because of that alot of people are forced to move away from home and once they can they will transfer back home. That is the way it has always been there.

Troop F is where you want to go. Why? Because the Sup. as well as the last one and many other high ranking officers at headquarters are from Troop F.

Latest from my recruiter is Jan 8th medical and Feb 14th Academy. These letters should be arriving pretty soon

That is good news..Hope it doesnt snow till then..I rather run on the track than in the Gym.
