It is all agree or disagree (strongly or not at all), true false and repetitive.
On question 2 they will say "I hate my mother" and you choice may be true or false or strongly disagree, agree, and strongly disagree. Then maybe 300 questions later they will ask the same thing only word it differently.
They are looking for consistency. If for example you do hate your mother but you put down that you don't, they are counting on the fact that people remember the truth. They figur that eventually you will slip up and reveal a lie. I think personally that the only people who fail the written part of the exam are those that have mental problems. However if you are inconsitent on the written you can bet your *** the doc will question you on it during the interview!
The other part of the test involves drawing a house, a tree, and I think a person. The doc will absolutely ask about these things! This part can throw up all sorts of red flags so be careful.
The hardest part of the psych test (written) is keeping your concentration for that long. I dont remember how long it is but plan on being there all day!
Hope this helps you Matt! Are you taking the exam on Saturday?
I just took one three weeks ago. 900 questions all t/f.
Questions like:
1. Someone cuts the line in front of you at the market, you say something to him. t/f
2. I care what people think about me. t/f
3. I usually will cross the street if I see an old friend to avoid a discussion. t/f
4. I have a problem speaking in front of large groups. t/f
DON'T Read into these questions...just quickly answer t or f. I read into the "I care what people think about me" question and answered False. Well, that's not true....I care what my family, friends and collegues think about me, but I don't alter my behavior because of it and thusly answered FALSE to the ?...see what I mean about reading in these things...GOOD LUCK!

Yes, you are likely looking for the "MMPI", althought there are other tests out there as well. You can find info on it by searching for MMPI on a web search.
