Wow, that was incredibly hard to read. How do you know you weren't captured on RADAR? Doesn't matter, really, 'cause the officer has probably had training in speed estimation. (I'm sure the officer did not "assume" since your car was "making noise lol." The noise just brings you to our attention that much quicker so we can estimate your excessive speed with our EYES, not our EARS.) Either way, it doesn't matter since you will have to admit to speeding since you were and now you're just haggling over how much over the speed limit you were going. Isn't there a price on the ticket? I would say since the officer cited you for more than 25 over the speed limit, you may have a mandatory court date at which time you'll have to go before a judge / hearing officer and explain your case there. As for getting it fixed or dismissed, again, up to whoever hears your case. Even if any of us knew, we definitely wouldn't tell you here...

No. It's varies from state to state and in reality, from judge to judge.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Follow the directions that the officer gave you or are on the ticket and you will find out.

Why do people believe that the court will dismiss or reduce a ticket just because they ask ?

I write tickets to STAND. If I want to cut you a break , I would have done so at the time of the stop. We don't have any kind of city/state attorney that represents us in traffic court, we do it alone. SO if you wish to " wheel and deal" you will dealing directly with me in court.

If you want to keep this ticket off your record, you may when you go to court, be very polite and show respect towards the court and the officer. Plead your case and ask the Judge to possibly grant you Supervision or the chance to take a Defensive Driver course, which will take more time from you and more likely than not more money out of your pocket.
