Rank 2 on Orals, Do I have a chance of getting called back

I just finished the initial testing for the Berkeley PD here in California. On the Oral boards I just got a letter back saying I scored within rank 2 on the Orals. Rank 1 is %100-90 Best Qualified Rank 2 is 89-80 Well Qualified, 70-79 Qualified. All the letter said was that there is 48 people on the list, and that people can bee called back for a second interview anywhere on the list. It didnt tell me where within Rank 2 I was either. So for all I know 45 people could of scored within rank 1, or 45 people could of scored with in Rank 3.

Do i have a chance of getting called back to continue on in the process, or if you dont score in rank 1 you dont have a chance. They said they will send 6-7 people to the academy.

Hang in there Driven, a high percentage of people wash out during the background medical and psych stages. If there are six jobs and 48 people on list you may still have a chance. My department is hiring also...pm me for details if you are interested.

I am in the same process. i have a friend at the Berkeley PD and they advised that they are treating the 1&2 ther same. The 3's are not even being considered.

Wow, thats awsome, i called and asked about what the rankings met an they jsut gave me the run around. I feel much better now. Just being asked to fill out a phq made me feel better that I am even moving along in the process. I had my doubts for awhile. Then the waiting game again once you turn in the phq.
