    Post suspended license

    i am located in bedford tx. my sons father is driving with a suspended license from drug and probation charges . i am not sure why he has not gotten license reregistered. can i call a police officer to meet us before i release my son to verify if his license is valid or reenstated???? i am not sure if i am still obligated to release my son if his license is not valid.

    Go in person and contact the LE agency that handles wherever your meetings/exchanges are supposed to take place and bring all your court paperwork with you...

    Yeah you are still obligated to release your child if the court ordered paperwork shows its his turn to have the child. You are mixing a civil matter with a criminal matter. How do you know he has not taken care of his drivers license status? When I arrive on calls like this I get a little annoyed when one party is just trying to get the other in trouble and their children are a witness to it. Do you think you will be in trouble for releasing your son to him and while his license is suspended? Its not likely because unless you have access his drivers license through TCIC there is no way you can be held accountable. That would be a far stretch for a child endangerment case.
