    Question Roomies

My ex is just moving out. I rent from someone else. He has 2 junk vehicles outside that he might have to tow. If he drags his feet about it, do I have the right to call the cops and get them impounded? Or what are my options to get them removed?

Are the vehicles on public or private property?
    Are the vehicles registered?
Is the last registered owner your ex?
Does your name appear anywhere in conjunction with these vehicles?
Make sure all your personal property has been removed from these vehicles.

I live in Ohio. He has paid as much as he's going to pay - so I'm paying the full rent for him to have a free storage unit for his items and vehicles until he decides to get them gone. My landlord will likely not have his vehicles towed herself because my ex is friends with her, granted he doesn't remove them in a timely fashion. If I don't want to have a couple of cars with flats blocking my drive, will I be able to get them out of there legally without the help of my landlord? Hopefully this is enough information, because I'm not sure what else I need to add.

One is on the side of the street. One is in the lawn, and it's not my personal property. He is the registered, current owner of the vehicles. Updated tags. No, my name is not associated with them, and nothing of mine is in them.

The police generally can't tow off of private property. The owner of the property is the one who has to do it. If they are on the street and blocking your driveway, the police can tow them.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

If your landlord is not going to help you , you are out of options unless they violate a local ordinance whih generally requires a expired plates , inspection or that they not be in running condition.

Does your lease guarantee you parking privileges that these cars now take up ?

Well, it guarantees that I get half the driveway and garage. One of the cars has a huge break in the crossmember, and the radiator keeps trying to work its way out, but he drives it very short distances. I think I may have told him off severely enough that he feels the need to move them, though. I threatened to impound them, and he might have believed I could. He's got one gone now. The one with the break is still sitting out there. Thanks for the replies to my post, people.
