Question about corrections & officers associating with felons

Do correctional officer have to report when being around felons outside of work, or felons in there own family?

Do correctional officers also have to look there family up with felons in the system
to see if there felonies are actually what they say they are?

And when a correctional officer in my family is telling me false information that
is supposedly on my records, how do I obtain to get my own files, do I have rights to the paperwork that they are looking at of my felonies?

    Please let me know
    this would be very helpful
    Thank You.

-From a family full of corrections

Not nearly enough info given to provide any opinions, much less answers.

Check with the employer of the correctional officer to see what their policies are.

Check with your local district attorney or court to see if you can get a copy of your criminal history.

Heidi, first of all, welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle.

Secondly, please look where you are posting threads as this should be in the Ask-A-Cop section, definitely NOT in the Restricted Area/Supporting Members section. In no way, shape, or form, does this question have anything to do with the the section it is in. I will move this thread to the Ask-A-Cop section, but please, in the future, attempt to locate the correct place to put your threads.

    Thank you.

I know of several corrections deputies here who have lost their jobs because of associating with felons. They're around them all day, if they loosen up with them in their private lives, there is too much danger they will in their professional.

Your family is somewhat different in that you can't chose them. But you choose your friends.
