    Cell phone and suicide

Hi. I am from NYC. I have a history of mental illness, nothing major. I'm not like a cracker jack that youd see on the street and see right away that they're nuts. I hold a very normal life, have a great job and am normal besides for being in the psych ward twice. I am on meds for bpd.
Now here comes my question. Let's say there is a person that does not know my name or where I live but they know my cell # and want to report that I am a danger to myself. Is there anyway the nypd can track my # or anything like that?

    Thanks in advance!!
Hope I gave all the right details!

    Welcome to the forum.

I would want to know WHY you want to know before I gave an answer to this question.

I have little interest in assisting you in ending your life by providing information which you could use to try to avoid detection during the attempt.

    Thanks for the welcoming.
No, I am not suicidal right now, thank GD. Just someone happened to mention to me that itmight be possible for one to call the police and give the troubled persons cell # so they can be tracked down and helped. Is this true?
Thank you so much for your help!
