neighbors formed a hate mob against us...help

Starting from beginning. 4 years ago my husband,kids and I moved into our home we bought. Right off the bat many neighbors were not friendly to us. Come to find out because my husband is black and I am white. Well things progressively got worse through the years so we moved. We couldnt sell our house cause of the market so we are renting it out to my nephew and neice...19 and 20 years old. We moved out of town and things suddenly got horrible. There are 5-6 neighbors whom have clicked up together are now calling the cops on the house almost everyday. 1 st story they told the cops...my 10 year old son slashed his tires on Friday and again on Saturday, didn't call the cops til Sunday. Story was proven a lie because my son is with me 400 miles away. Next day same people called cops saying I abandoned my two babies in the house. Story was proven to be a lie because the babies are with me 400 miles away. The next night one of these neighbors walked down to my house and was yellling at my family (tenants) and then assaulted my nephew. I called the cops from here. The cops believed these other people until good neighbors came out to tell the cops they saw the whole thing. So a ticket was issued against one of these people. Yesterday same neighbors called cops said my family (tenants) broke in to two houses and stole a bunch of guns. Cops searched my house and found nothing. Today same bunch of neighbors drove in front of my house and tried to fight my Bruce and nephew. We called cops and nothing was done. These people are obviously making up stories to try and frame my family and/ or maybe insurance fraud I don't know. My husband and I have spoke with sargents in charge several times but they won't listen to us. I'm scared of what story these people will come up with next. These neighbors verbally made it clear that everyone on the street hates us because were Mexican. Which is weird because were not. It's all so confusing. So anyone that rents my house is going to get pushed out by this harassment. I don't live close by so I don't know what to do. These neighbors throw rocks at my house, late at night they bang on the basement Windows, throw trash and dog poop in my yard. Why are the police not putting this all together? All the proven lies they have told. Please any advice would be great.

Video cameras might be a good start to record any illegal behavior. I would recommend taking a hit on the house and just selling it. It's honestly not worth the trouble. You can also contact the local councilman that's in your area about helping you with police relations. There's not much you're going to be able to do 400 miles away with a 19/20 yr old renting the house. Obviously all of you have a right to live without the harassment, but it depends on how far you're willing to go time & money wise to handle the idiots down the street.

Try to sell your house to a real estate company and be done with it. Move on and be happy, nobody needs to live with this type of aggravation. If you were still living there my advice may be different but you are 400 miles away and really don't know what a 19 and a 20 year old would do when confronted with such hatred. I agree with "scott715us" even at a loss get rid of the house and the memories.

What part of the country are you living? I know about hate crimes, I worked them for several years, but is there more to this story? It seems odd to me they would band together just because of that. They're going to more work than usual. Usually discrimination and hate crimes don't take that form.

If it was me I would seel and leave. If you want to stay and the Sgt. won't do anything...talk to the Lt. If that doesn't work call your city/twon council, etc...

Hmm, I dont know too many repsonsible 19 / 20 yr olds that can manage to live / run a household without some issues. Things like loud music , parties , loud cars etc. I was in the military at age 17 , I know what it is like to be away from home without constant supervision for the first time.

Yeah, this doesn't sound right to me. Something else has been going on here.
