Truck exhaust system regulations

Hello there! I live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. I have a truck that has the whole exhaust system.. (pipe, resonator, muffler), all that stuff. I am wondering if it is legal to do this....

I bought a cherry bomb pipe ( big red fat pipe), I'm wondering if I can cut the muffler from the exhaust but still have it mounted on the truck, and just have the resonator and cherry bomb. There is no emissions law here in Sudbury yet so keep that in mind. I wouldn't be REMOVING the muffler, just cutting it from the system, and replacing some pipe with the cherry bomb and still keeping the resonator attached

I thought a "cherry bomb" was the name of the company that makes glass pack mufflers. If that's what you are talking about then the truck would still have a muffler, right? Maybe you should have some good performance mufflers put on that sound good instead something that would just sound obnoxious. If your truck is too loud the police up there may have something to say about it.

We dont have many if any active Canadian Police Officers here. Why dont you try asking at a repair garage. They get to fix peoples cars when they modify them illegally. Ask if they are aware of any restrictions.
