If Batman were real, would he be seen as a hero or a criminal by professional law enforcement agencies?

First, I'm a Bat-junkie, have been since I was a kid (hence my avatar pic). He's the baddest mama-jamma on the superhero block, period.
With that said, here's a real life example of how this would play out in the real world: Local News | Seattle's 'superhero' Phoenix Jones bound for court | Seattle Times Newspaper (not that this clown is even a fraction as cool as Batman).

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
My new hero!
He would be my hero.
Cogito ergo summopere periculosus.
Fiat justitia, ruat coelum.
I'd investigate his relationship with Robin.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
My Little Buddy
haha Ret, in current continuity, Robin is Bruce Wayne's son, Damien, lol

There were several Robins over the years, the first one, **** Grayson was his ward, he grew up, and went on to be Nightwing and even sub for Batman, then there was Jason Todd who was also his ward, who was a street punk, he died but came back to life after one of DC's cosmic disasters( gotta love those) then there was another one named Tim Drake, who was not his ward, he knew Bruce Wayne through his father. His son is from a relationship with a woman named Talia Al'Ghul...I have not followed comics since about 2006. I am a freelance comic inker so I have had to brush up on stuff lately though.
Hmm, he's pretty hard on juvenile sidekicks then.....

I'm with Kimble - if he were for real, Batman would be the MAN!
lmao RDS!
LOL, this is getting a bit disturbing, haha... I personally like the Christopher Nolan take on Batman, no side-kicks...
Is anyone psyched about Arkham City coming out?
Actually Bruce Wayne would be living in a low income housing complex somewhere.
The ambulance chasing lawyers would have picked his bones clean.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL
Too true, it sucks, but we can get sued by a burglar if we shoot them when they are breaking into our houses...Avoid lawsuits, shoot to kill, lol( I think the NRA should use that as their motto)...
It's not the dead suspects you have to worry about - as long as there are scumsucking bottomfeeding ambulance chasers around, you're gonna have lawsuits...
