I've never seen an undercover cop rip off his outer shirt to reveal his uniform. You may not have noticed, but police uniforms with body armor are very bulky and not easy to conceal under a shirt. The only person I have ever seen do this kind of thing is Superman. Are you sure it wasn't the Man of Steel?

Drinking at college IS NOT "inevitable." It is a choice. Underage drinking is a choice.

I knew I wanted to be a cop too when I went to college. But my friends knew that and respected it. I never have done drugs. Ever. Not one hit of weed, not one line of coke, nothing! I made choices. Difficult at times but never did anyoen force me and never did I sucumb to peer pressure and never did my friends harass me about it. They would ofer, I would say no and they would do their business away from me. And when it was time to drink, there are ways to go about it if you wish to participate. AKA- in a dorm room or suite. Limited people, closed doors, low noise, chance of getting caught low.

How mature is it of you to expect to be able to flaunt doing something illegal in front of cops, and expect them not to try to catch you? Get a ticket, and during the hiring process for a PD walk into a oral interview with the same "excuse" or "explanation" you give hear about them being overbearing and ridiculous and it being "inevitable." See what the result ends up......I know what it will be.
Thank you for your genuine and honest answer.

Contrary to what you seem to believe, you go to college to learn, not be an idiot.

And college drunks are a pain to everyone else, that's why cops enforce drinking laws so severely.
Youre right they/we do suck. I guess its just the guys who go overboard really mess it up.

But in the grand scheme i know i shouldnt be.

Most likely, before they became "overbearing", the city probably had so many problems with previous classes of college students, their behavior led to the city and college cracking down.

We are law enforcement. Not law makers. Those are the people to go to if the enforcement of a law is "overbearing". You go to the people who can change the law. Not ask those whose job it is to enforce it to look the other way.
I like the way you went about answering that, and thank you for your reply.

It is true, this school was notorious for partying, that does make a lot of sense for them.

Under what circumstances have you worn body armor "many times" as a 19 year old college student?

Did you happen to ask any of the officers or supervisors of that department about this situation in which you find yourself?

I,ll suspect that they are " guilty " of these " offenses " and he wouldn't want to ask them.
