At what point can a boxer punch someone without getting in trouble, either in self defense, defending someone else, to stop a crime, or any other legal reasons you guys have? Boxers have a bigger responsibility with fighting because fists are registered lethal weapons in California, so they can't start fights. But when is it okay for them to hit someone? How do these laws for them work?
-like is it only if they try to throw a punch at you,
-is it when they physically try to strike/grab/bullrush/push you in any way,
-or if they corner/surround you,
-what if they taunt you a lot and keep going in front of you not letting you leave, or keep coming back to you when your both in the same area, would any of these let a boxer do anything there(including smacking/slap/pushing) or would you have to wait for them to punch?)
-and if some guy tried to smack you or slap you, could you still punch him? (if you couldn't punch him, could you dip under it/block it and smack him across the face or chop his side with the side of your hand instead of punching him just once? And would it make a difference if he was taunting you?)
-if a big guy/group of guys is messing with a smaller guy/girl when can a boxer intervene
-if someone just committed a crime or was about to
-if he gets jumped
And when does a boxer have to stop fighting? is it when the guy is on the ground or runs away or something
And is a boxer's smack or slap still looked at as an assault with a deadly weapon? or is it just fists? like if someone tried pushing you, smacking you or punching you and you still didn't want to hurt them like that, so instead of using your fist you just smacked them or chopped them and they just dropped
And if someone attacks a boxer and he punches him once or a couple times then stops and it breaks his jaw or something, could the attacker successfully sue/press charges against the boxer he attacked?
