    Out of state license plates

This is just a curious question. I know of more than one person who lives here in WI but still has MN plates on their car. One in particular I am sure has lived here in WI for a long time, and he has been driving the same van (with MN plates) for several years. How is it that he hasn't had to get WI plates? Will MN actually register a car being kept in WI?

He hasn't been caught yet. It's not legal and he will no doubt get a ticket if he gets stopped for a violation or the same police officer keeps seeing the car around for an extended period of time.

Washington state is really aggressive on that near the Oregon border because it's so much cheaper to register a car here than there. WSP routinely watch the commute across the bridge and if they see the same Oregon plate coming or going more than once, they stop them. The fine is pretty hefty there.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
