Question on sexting in CT/NH

Hello,
I am a 19 yr old guy who has been semi-romantically involved with a now 16 yr old girl i met online since we first met playing an MMORPG game called runescape about 5 years ago. Since then we have connected via facebook and AIM and even text each other.
I was wondering if sharing racy/nude photos with each other (sexting) would be considered illegal? From some research on my end i believe that 3 years gap is acceptable for us to have sex, is sharing photos then also acceptable?I live in Tolland county CT and she lives in Hillsborough county NH.
No action has been taken towards sharing such photos with each other as we don't wish to get each other/ourselves in trouble. Any light shed on this matter would be helpful.

You recieving any nude, sexually suggestive or her gratifying herself, photos is akin to her sending and you receiving child pornography. You sending the same to her is akin to child enticement, as well as a slew of other charges.

In either case with you being the adult, you will get the lions share of attention and jail time. She is after all, a child. No matter in your opinion how mature she may act.

Find yourself an adult 19 year old with whom you, an adult, can interact as an adult.

I agree with Joeyd6, ask her father. Its a good answer because in Texas the mother and father take on the roll of the victim. Also you may want to confirm you are within that 3 year window. Its possible, but I doubt you are exactly 3 years older (IE you could be 2 years and 300 days older or you could be 3 years and 25 days older). Also when the law says its a defense to prosecution, it doesn't mean you can't be drug to court about it. Defense to prosecution means that's what your lawyer uses at trial and I doubt you would want it to go that far. I don't think you want to have to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life. Maybe call your local prosecutors office and ask them.

Keep it up and you'll find romance all right. But it might be in jail and you may not be the groom.......

BTW, it's not 3 years in some states. Here it's only two that you can use as a defense. Play with someone your own age.

In Connecticut a 19-year-old sending/receiving sexually explicit picture to a 16-year-old can be arrested for child pornography.

These crimes are investigated and we do make arrests on them.

Don't do it. If you have been doing, stop immediately.

The fact that you as a legal " adult " are interested in a juvenile girl speaks VOLUMES. You need to realize the CHASM between the ages of 17 and 18.
